The Challenger Learning Center Experience
An adventure at the Challenger Learning Center is not just a field trip—the experience begins in the classroom well before the actual trip to the mission control and space station simulators. Rather, it is an exceptional educational opportunity for students to see themselves in successful roles as scientists, engineers and researchers.

The internationally acclaimed Challenger Learning Center Network currently consists of state-of-the-art, innovative educational simulators located in 46 sites across 29 states, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Amazing things start to happen when a Challenger Learning Center opens in a community—they often become a focal point for a rededication to a community-wide commitment to learning. By reaching further into the community than just schools (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4H clubs, summer enrichment programs, corporate team building missions), they become host to vital community learning experiences.
Challenger Learning Centers also have a rich history of becoming a catalyst for professional development among teachers in our learning communities. Challenger Learning Centers are often hosts to other programs from NASA to Harvard University.

Additionally, teachers looking to improve their teaching in the areas of science and space will be able to find many ways to do just that at the Challenger Learning Center of Southeastern Connecticut.

This is all made possible because of the strong community partnerships that Challenger Learning Centers' foster, strengthening the community's involvement in changing the way educators teach and students learn. Challenger Learning Centers and their programs have consistently brought communities together and created a long-term, broad-based level of support for educational reform and improvement.

The Challenger Learning Center of Southeastern Connecticut is currently raising fund for construction of a facility. Upon completion of the building all of the services included in this site will be offered.
